How to fill out a sales receipt
TIPS FOR WRITING A RECEIPT:
1. Have the customer fill out the top part
2. Always charge tax (bham 10%, most of Bay area 7%)
3. Always charge tax on full retail amount, not discounted amount.
4. You can use abrievations that work for you- I use O/C (oily/combo) or N/D (normal to dry)
5. You do NOT need to write their card info in if you go on and run their card on square or propay
6. If you do write their card info always ask what is the zip code associated with the card. Their address zip code may not match and it will decline if you do not have the right one.
7. Give your customer one of the carbon copies and you keep the top.
